Maurer recorded personal-bests in both the shot put and weight throw at Saturday's UW-Stout Warren Bowlus Open. He finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 50-02, which ranks second in the MWC and 28th in Divisioin-III this year, while finishing sixth in the weight throw with a distance of 50-06.25, which also ranks second in the MWC.
