In seven games last week, Schmitt batted .391 (9-23), helping the Red Hawks win four of six conference games. His week was highlighted by a walk-off three-run homer Sunday to give Ripon a 12-9 win over Lawrence in 10 innings. That was Schmitt's second home run of the week, giving him 19 for his career, which is tied for seventh in school history. Schmitt also recorded one double and six RBI, while scoring seven runs, stealing three bases and drawing 11 walks.
