Birschbach proved to be in mid-season form after Ripon's first two games of 2016, leading the Red Hawks to convincing wins against Lakeland and Maranatha Baptist. She recorded hat tricks in both games, giving her six career hat tricks, which ties a program record. In the two games combined, Birschbach played a role in eight of the team's 12 goals, scoring six on her own and assisting on two others.
