In three games over Winter Break, Sabin averaged 34.7 points per game in leading Ripon to a 2-1 record with their only loss in that span coming to #16 UW-Whitewater. Sabin scored 40 points in that loss, and followed that up with a 31-point effort in a 30-point win at Willamette (Ore.), en route to becoming just the seventh player in Midwest Conference history to score 2,000 career points. The next day, Sabin scored 33 points at Pacific (Ore.), with 26 of those coming in the second half, including the game-winning 3-pointer with less than one second remaining. In addition to his scoring prowess, Sabin also averaged 3.7 rebounds, three assists, and 3.3 steals per game in that three-game span, while shooting 58 percent (38-65) from the field, 40 percent (10-25) from 3-point range, and 78 percent (18-23) from the free throw line.
