Sabin led Ripon to their first NCAA Division-III Tournament berth in 15 years by helping them win the Midwest Conference Tournament over the weekend. In the Tournament's two games, Sabin averaged 40.5 points per game, while shooting 60 percent (29-48) from the field, including 57 percent (12-21) from 3-point range, while also making all 11 of his free throws. In Ripon's 80-79 semifinal win against Cornell, Sabin finished with 50 points and made the game-winning 3-pointer with one second remaining. During that game, Sabin broke Ripon's single season scoring record, which had been set 39 years ago. The next day, Sabin scored 31 points in the MWC Championship Game in which he broke Ripon's 25-year-old record for career 3-pointers. The NCAA's active leader in career scoring average across all divisions (25.9 ppg), Sabin also surpassed 2,500 career points during that Championship Game.
