On Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative meet, the Red Hawks had three athletes finish in the top eight and leading the way was freshman distance runner Terrina Phillips as she set a new personal best time in the 800m. As the race unfolded she sat in second place with 300 meters to go and made her move on the backstretch to take a lead she wouldn't relinquish. She surged ahead to win her heat with a time of 2:28.91 and finish in seventh-place overall.
