Competing in his first official meet with the Red Hawks, Pillath had a breakthrough performance during the Midwest Conference North Division Championships over the weekend, as he was named MWC North Newcomer of the Year. He won the 110 Hurdles at the meet, while finishing second in the discus and placing third in the javelin, high jump, and long jump.
