In his only start last week, Fox took a no-hitter into the ninth inning against conference foe Beloit College, before a one-out single ended the bid for his first career no-no. He finished the 8-0 victory allowing just that one hit, while striking out eight batters in the first complete game shutout of his career. He retired the side in order in five of his nine innings, and did not allow a runner past second base until the final frame.
