Schmitz helped Ripon to a second-place finish at Saturday's 'Dick Hendricks Invitational', winning four events, while setting two PRs. She flew to a new personal best and ran the second-best time in school history in the 60m Dash with a time of 8.07 in the finals to win the event. That time currently ranks sixth in the MWC. Schmitz also ran to a new personal best in the 200m as she won the event by a margin of 0.83 seconds in a time of 27.21 seconds. Schmitz also ran a leg on Ripon's first-place relay teams in the 4x200 and 4x400, which finished with times of 1:49.77 and 4:21.49, respectively.
