Reetz had an outstanding start to the season over the weekend, winning both of her starts, while pitching a pair of complete game shutouts. In her 14 innings of work, Reetz did not allow a run, while giving up just six hits, all singles, and striking out 23 batters. In Saturday's 4-0 win against Rockford, Reetz tossed a five-hitter, while tying a career-high with 12 strikeouts, which is also tied for 10th in program history for a single game. She followed that up with a one-hitter in a 2-0 win against Macalester, which saw her strike out 11 more batters. Opponents hit just .122 against Reetz during the week, while she posted a WHIP of 0.71. Reetz also did some damage at the plate, batting .375 (3-for-8) with one triple, one walk, and one run scored.
