Andrew Fuhrmann defended his indoor title in the 400m at the 2019 MWC Outdoor Championships over the weekend, while earning two honors at the meet. Fuhrmann came into the meet as the top seed, running a season-best time of 49.15 seconds, and cruised through the prelims in a time of 49.47 to advance as the top seed in to Saturday's final. In that final, he pulled away down the homestretch to win by over a full second with a new lifetime best of 48.73 seconds. That ranks him second all-time at Ripon just 0.15 seconds off of the school record. In the 200m, he ran to a season-best and wind-legal PR of 22.16 seconds in the prelims to advance in the third position, and held that spot in the finals running 22.19 seconds for his fourth career all-conference performance.
