Berens was a workhorse for Ripon football on Saturday in the Red Hawks' 42-41 heartbreaking loss at North Park. The signal-caller accounted for 201 total yards and five total touchdowns -- four on the ground and one through the air. Berens threw for 131 yards on 10-of-19 passing, while leading the Red Hawks with 70 yards on the ground on 14 carries. The junior leads the Midwest Conference in rushing touchdowns after one week -- nobody else in the league currently has more than one.
