Adam was a standout in both basketball and track and field. He was a team captain of two Midwest Conference championship teams (1997-98), and two NCAA-tournament teams (1998-99). A preseason All-American as a senior, he was named MWC Most Valuable Player in 1998 and was a First Team Midwest Region selection in the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons. Adam ranks 11th in school history for scoring (1,234), despite playing just three seasons as a Red Hawk, and is tied for fourth for career steals in school history (144).

In track and field Adam was an All-Conference performer in the triple jump in 1998 and 1999. He was named Ripon College's track & field Most Valuable Player in 1998.
