Ripon College Athletics

Angelo “Gel” L. Giaudrone, an all around athlete, competed in every season of his eligibility at Ripon College. Although his primary sports were football, basketball and track, Giaudrone played on the tennis team for a year instead of resting a season after an injury prevented him from competing in track. Giaudrone earned nine letters during his career at Ripon College, the maximum amount available at the time when freshmen were not eligible. “Pound for pound,” said Coach Carl Doehling, “Giaudrone was the best athlete I ever coached.”
