Ripon College Athletics

Gary Mevis was a member of both the basketball and football teams at Ripon College, but he excelled on the hardwood. As a member of back-to-back Midwest Athletic Conference championship teams in 1963 and 1964, Mevis was named First-Team All-Conference during both seasons. He joined the Ripon squad as a sophomore and was an All-Conference honorable mention that same year. Mevis, who is a member of the 1,000-point club, is also in the record books for single-game and single-season scoring.
