Ripon College Athletics

Greg Mercier, cum laude, excelled in football and baseball at Ripon College. A three-year starter in football, his defensive back play led to a season record of 12 interceptions in 1969, earning him All-Conference honors. Repeating as All-Conference in 1970, he became the all-time leader in career interceptions with 21. An All-Conference outfielder in his senior year, Greg batted over .440, led his team in almost every offensive category and was a team co-captain for both baseball and football in his junior and senior years.
