Ripon College Athletics

Coach Gillespie is the all-time winningest coach in Ripon College history in both men's basketball and baseball, recording a combined record of 869-536-3. He led his basketball teams to six conference championships and 10 NCAA Division-III tournament appearances, while compiling a 510-248 record in 32 years as head coach. His winning percentage of .673 ranks among the top 40 in Division-III history. In baseball, his teams won seven conference titles, while qualifying for the NCAA Tournament on four occasions. He was a part of six more conference championships as an assistant under his father, Gordie. In February of 2010, the basketball court at Weiske Gymnasium in Willmore Center was named “Bob Gillespie Court” in his honor.
