Scott Young helped lead Ripon’s basketball team to two conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances as the team’s starting point guard. He was First Team All-Conference and team MVP in the 1993 season and graduated as Ripon’s single-season and career assist leader with 160 and 425, respectively. As a shortstop and lead-off hitter in baseball, he helped his teams win four North Division titles and a share of the conference championship in 1989. He was named All-Conference four times and the North Division Midwest Conference most outstanding player in 1993 in a season that saw him set Ripon’s single-season stolen base record of 25.
