Ripon College Athletics

Steve Hopp was a member of Ripon’s 1979-80 Conference Champion basketball team and 1981 Conference Champion football team, excelling mainly on the gridiron. As a tight end for the football team, Hopp was named to the All-Conference team as a junior in 1981 when he hauled in 43 passes for 570 yards. He also earned Honorable Mention Academic All-American while at Ripon. Thirty-one years after the fact, Hopp has still recorded the fourth-longest reception in school history, connecting for a 95-yard grab from Kevin King during the 1980 season.
