William A. Schnese '79 was a four-year starter on the gridiron, earning First Team All-Conference honors at Linebacker during his final three seasons. A member of two Midwest Conference Championship teams (1977 and 1978) and a two-time Team Captain, Schnese earned Ripon's Most Improved Player Award as a sophomore in 1976. He finished his career by being named the team's Most Valuable Defensive Lineman and earning Associated Press Little All-America honors in 1978.
