Box Score
Ripon, Wis. - The Ripon College women's soccer team has only allowed a goal in one of their six halves this season. Friday, they defeated Maranatha Baptist for the Red Hawks second consecutive shutout victory. That is due in large part to Goal Keeper Sidney Blodgett, who has been between the pipes for every minute and is currently riding a streak of 234 consecutive scoreless minutes.
The Red Hawks (2-1) scored the first goal of the game in the 10th minute when Brandi Peltier netted her third goal of the season on an assist by Kaylee Tadych. That would be all the offense they would need, but Kali Doerr added another goal for good measure in the 76th minute, her first of the season on an assist by Alyssa Kennedy.
Blodgett made four saves in goal for the Red Hawks, who possessed the ball for much of the contest. Her counterpart, Michala Marino, saved eight shots on the day.
Ripon won't have much time to rest, as they'll get back at it on Sunday against Concordia-Chicago. That game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Prairie Field in Ripon and can be seen live on
