Concordia-Chicago Tops Ripon, 4-2

The Ripon women's soccer team's scoreless streak ended at 264 minutes, as Concordia-Chicago used a first half goal to propel them to a 4-2 win over the Red Hawks.

Natalie Weinhold gave Concordia-Chicago (3-0) the first lead of the game with an unassisted goal in the 30th minute. Ripon (2-2) would tie things up in the second half when Brandi Peltier netted her fourth goal of the season in the 61st minute. Four minutes later, Concordia took the lead once more on Alyssa Soulis' fifth goal of the year. The Cougars would add to that lead in the 73rd minute when Cassie Sarokin scored an unassisted goal. Ripon pulled to within one on a Kaylee Tadych goal with under five minutes to play, but Weinhold put the game away for good with her second goal of the contest with just over two minutes left on the clock.

Ripon Goal Keeper Sidney Blodgett played all 90 minutes, recording four saves. Her counterpart, Callie Hasselbring saved five shots, while also playing the entire game.

The Red Hawks will be in action again on Wednesday when they'll travel to Wisconsin Lutheran. That game will begin at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee.
