RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon women's tennis team lost both of their matches on the final day of the regular season Sunday by identical 9-0 scores. Monmouth defeated the Red Hawks in their morning session, before St. Norbert topped Ripon in the afternoon.

Against Monmouth (5-12, 3-7 MWC), Ripon's most compeititive match came at number two singles where Courtney Olson lost 4-6, 7-5 (3-10). In doubles play, Ripon lost all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-7.

In the second match of the day, St. Norbert (13-1, 9-0 MWC) defeated Ripon (1-13, 1-8 MWC) 6-0, 6-0 in three of their six singles matches. VandenHouten played the most competitive match, before losing 2-6, 2-6. The Red Hawks lost all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-2.

Ripon will now get ready to compete at next weekend's Midwest Conference Championships, which will begin on Saturday in Madison, Wis. at Nielsen Tennis Center.
