CHICAGO, Ill. - Playing their final non-conference game before a four-game slate of Midwest Conference games to end the regular season, the Ripon women's soccer team lost 1-0 to Illinois Tech on Saturday. The game was evenly played, with each team recording 14 shots.
After a scoreless first half, Illinois Tech (8-5-0) scored the only goal of the contest just one minute into the second period when Noemi Luna found the back of the net thanks to an assist from Kristen Barrett.
Sidney Blodgett played all 90 minutes in goal for Ripon (8-6-0), making seven saves. Her counterpart, Roxanne Myers also saved seven shots for Illinois Tech.
The Red Hawks will resume conference play on Wednesday when they'll host Lawrence University at 3:30 p.m. in Ripon.
