DULUTH, Minn. - In what was their first match since October, the Ripon women's tennis team lost to St. Scholastica, 8-1.

The Red Hawks' only victory came at number one singles, where Maddie VandenHouten won, 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8). 

St. Scholastica (5-1) won the top two doubles matches by a combined score of 16-2, with the third flight going to the Saints by default. Ripon was most competitive at the top flight, where VandenHouten teamed up with Kelli Walsh, falling by a score of 8-2.

Ripon (1-14) will be in action again on March 29 against Edgewood College. That match will take place at Center Court in Fond du Lac, Wis.
