RIPON, Wis. - Playing in their final home match of the season, the Ripon women's tennis team gave their fans something to remember, defeating Loras College, 5-4. The Red Hawks won three of their six singles matches, while also earning wins in two of the three doubles matches.

In singles play, Maddie VandenHouten gave Ripon a win at the top flight by a score of 6-1, 6-4. Lucero Pena and Morgan Makar added wins at the third and fourth flights by scores of 6-3, 7-5 and 6-2, 6-2, respectively.

In the doubles competition, Pena teamed up with Courtney Olson at the number two flight to win 8-3, while Samantha Kiesner and Carly Wesner were victorious at the third flight by a score of 9-7.

The Red Hawks will try to use their momentum next weekend when they travel to Grinnell College on Saturday. That match will begin at 3:30 p.m. in Grinnell, Iowa.
