RIPON, Wis. - With Ripon's 5-2 win against Dominican (Ill.) Tuesday afternoon, the Red Hawks women's tennis team improved their season record to 5-7, which marks the program's highest win total since 2004 when they won seven matches.
Singles play saw two unfinished matches, with Ripon winning three of the four matches that were completed. Maddie VandenHouten improved to 6-6 on the season with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the top flight, while 
Morgan Makar improved her team-best record to 7-5 with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win at the second flight. 
Katelyn Peroutka also earned Ripon a team point with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the number six flight.
Doubles play saw Ripon win two of the three matches. At the top flight, VandenHouten and Makar teamed up to win 8-0, while Peroutka and Madeline Salzer were victorious at the third flight, 8-4.
The Red Hawks won't have much time to savor this victory, as they'll be back on the court on Wednesday when they'll travel to Lawrence University. That match will begin at 4 p.m. in Appleton, Wis.
