Red Hawks Can't Get Past MSOE

RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's women's tennis team lost to MSOE Friday afternoon by a score of 6-3. The Red Hawks won three of the six singles matches, but dropped all three matches in doubles competition by a combined score of 25-12.

In singles play, Morgan Makar won her match at the second flight, while Rachel Hicks and Katelyn Peroutka were also victorious at the fifth and sixth flights, respectively. Hicks was victorious 8-2, while Peroutka won her match by an 8-3 margin.

Ripon's number three doubles team of Peroutka and Carly Wesner nearly pulled out a victory, before falling 9-8.

The Red Hawks will be in action again on Saturday when they'll host Alverno at 9 a.m. at Larson Courts in Ripon, before traveling to Fond du Lac to face Marian University for a 2 p.m. match.
