Ripon's women's tennis team lost two matches on Saturday, losing to Alverno College 5-4, before dropping a 9-0 decisiion at Marian University.

Against Alverno (2-4), the Red Hawks (3-10) won two of their six singles matches as Morgan Makar was victorious, 6-4, 6-2, at the number two flight, and Rachel Hicks won her fifth flight match by a score of 6-2, 6-1. In doubles play, MacKenzie Warner and Carly Wesner teamed up to win 6-4 at the number two flight, while Hicks and Alejandras Cardenas won their number three doubles match by a 6-4 margin.

In the nightcap, Marian (6-5) won all six singles flights, with Ripon putting up a fight at the third and fourth flights where Hicks and Katelyn Peroutka each fell by identical 8-6 scores. Marian also won all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-10.

The Red Hawks will be in action again on Sunday when they'll play UW-Stout and Southwest Minnesota State in Menomonie, Wis. at 9 a.m. and Noon, respectively.
