RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon College women's tennis team lost their first conference match of the season Thursday night, falling to Lawrence University, 8-1. The Red Hawks won one of their six singles matches, while losing all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-11.

Carly Wesner earned Ripon's only team point, as she won her number five singles match by a score of 6-2, 6-4.

Ripon (2-2, 0-1 MWC) will try to rebound on Saturday when they'll play Monmouth College  and Illinois College at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively. Both matches will be played at arson Courts in Ripon.
