RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon women's tennis team lost both of their matches on Saturday, falling to conference foes Monmouth and Illinois College.

In the morning match, Monmouth (1-4, 1-0 MWC) topped Ripon 7-2. The Red Hawks (2-4, 0-3 MWC) won one match in both singles and doubles play. MacKenzie Warner won her number three singles match in convincing fashion, 6-1, 6-1, while Warner also won her doubles match at the number two flight, teaming up with Carly Wesner for an 8-1 victory.

In the second match of the day, Ripon lost to Illinois College (3-3, 1-2 MWC) by a score of 6-3. Ripon won two singles matches against the Lady Blues as Morgan Makar and Warner won at the number two and three flights, respectively, by scores of 6-2, 6-2, and 6-2, 6-4. In doubles play, the number two team of Wesner and Warner were again victorious, winning by a score of 8-1.

The Red Hawks will be in action again on Sunday when they'll battle Knox College at 9 a.m. at Larson Courts in Ripon.
