RIPON, Wis. - Lake Forest scored four first-half goals Sunday afternoon and Ripon could not recover, as the Red Hawks lost 5-2. The Foresters also out-shot Ripon by a 34-9 margin, including 18-1 in the first half.
Lake Forest (9-7-1, 7-1-0) wasted no time, scoring the game's first goal just two minutes into the game off the foot of Lucas Geib. Johnny Presberg added to that lead in the ninth minute, scoring off a corner kick by Tate Rosenhagen. Macos Hernandez and Joao Godoy also scored first-half goals for Lake Forest, helping them to a 4-0 halftime lead.
Alen Hataric added to the Foresters' lead in the second half with a goal in the 67th minute, before Ripon (1-14-1, 0-7-0 MWC) got on the board twice in the final 20 minutes of the contest.
Heath Dillenbeck scored his second goal of the season, while
Christian Millan netted his fourth for the Red Hawks.
Kenny Smith played all 90 minutes at Goal Keeper for Ripon, making 12 saves. Lake Forest recorded two saves combined between Jan Roessler and Giuseppe Scalera.
