RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's women's soccer team stayed undefeated in conference play Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 win against Illinois College. The Red Hawks dominated the game more than the score showed, as they out-shot the Lady Blues 40-0.
The game's only goal came in the 26th minute of the first half when
Maeve Kim notched her first of the season on an assist from
Brianna Schnell. Kim recorded eight shots in he game, including four on goal, while Schnell shot the ball a game-high nine times, with five on goal.
Ripon Goal Keeper
Stefani Zeiger earned her second shutout in as many weeks, thanks in part to the defense in front of her, as she played all 90 minutes. Charlotte Crofton also played all 90 minutes in goal for Illinois College (5-5-0, 0-2-0 MWC), making 21 saves.
The Red Hawks (3-6-1, 1-0-1 MWC) will try to keep it going on Saturday when they'll host Lake Forest College. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Priarie Field in Ripon, and can be seen live atÂ
