LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Nearly three weeks after losing their season-opening game 1-0 against Lake Forest, the Ripon College men's soccer team again played the Foresters, falling by an identical 1-0 score. LFC also held a 16-5 shot advantage.

The game's only goal came in the 40th minute, as Erik Truitt broke a scoreless tie just before halftime. That marked Truitt's third goal of the season, with the assist credited to Bradley Van Egeren.

Ripon Goal Keeper Kenny Smith played all 90 minutes, making eight saves, while the Foresters saw three Goal Keepers combine for three saves.

The Red Hawks will close out their shortened 2021 season Saturday at Lawrence University. That game will begin at 7 p.m. in Appleton, Wis.
