RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's women's tennis team remained undefeated Saturday morning with an 8-1 victory over Marian University to move their record to 2-0 on the young season. The Red Hawks won all three doubles matches, while also taking five of the six singles contests against the Sabres.
In doubles play,
Hannah Ryback and
Brianna Bembenek were an impressive team at the top flight, defeating Carly Paulson/Aeryn Olson 8-1. Ripon's team of
Emma Ziebell and
Chase Polyak were also victorious, winning their number two doubles match 8-4. The Red Hawks won the third flight by default.
Ryback also won her number one singles match 6-1, 6-1, while
Sarah Weber and
Tamera Holland won their third and fourth flight matches by scores of 6-2, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-2, respectively.
Halle Hadel also won her singles match, defeating Julia Loomans 6-2, 6-1 at the number five flight.
Ripon will try to remain undefeated on Thursday when they'll travel to MSOE for a 4 p.m. match in Milwaukee.
