CHICAGO, Ill. – North Park University's women's soccer team netted four goals in the first half Wednesday and claimed a 4-0 win over the visiting Red Hawks of Ripon College.
North Park's Agnes Beck secured what proved to be the match-winner in the seventh minute off a corner kick. The host Vikings snapped Ripon's three-match undefeated streak, the Red Hawks' longest such streak since 2018.
The home side compiled shots on goal throughout the match. Ripon goalkeeper
Andreanna Wilke made 17 saves for the Red Hawks.
Kina Hopkins recorded both of Ripon's shots on goal in the match. She came close to putting the Red Hawks on the scoreboard at the half-hour mark, and then came close again in the 89th minute.
Wednesday's non-conference match was the final tuneup for Red Hawks before opening Midwest Conference play. The Red Hawks begin league play Saturday when they host Beloit College at Prairie Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
