VERONA, Wis. – Edgewood College scored twice in the second half Tuesday to lift the host Eagles to a 2-0 win over the Red Hawks of Ripon College.
 
Marley Satran's strike shortly past the hour mark proved to be the match-winner for the Eagles. Greta Blau added an insurance strike in the 87th minute.
 
Red Hawks goalkeeper Andreanna Wilke (Wausau, Wis./West) turned away 14 shots in Ripon's first contest away from home this season. She and her defense kept the match scoreless in the first half as Wilke stopped nine shots before the break.
 
Wilke's play kept the Red Hawks in the match, as all but one of Edgewood College's 17 shots were on target. The Eagles enjoyed an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks and had control of the ball for 65 percent of the match.
 
The Red Hawks return home for their next match to host Rockford University on Saturday, Sept. 10. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
