Box Score 2 STEVENS POINT, Wisconsin – The Ripon women's tennis program opened the fall 2023 campaign on Friday with a pair of matches against tough competition in Stevens Point.
The Red Hawks fell 8-1 to St. Norbert and dropped a 9-0 decision to the host UW-Stevens Point.
In the opening match against St. Norbert (1-1), Ripon (0-1) earned a victory in doubles on court two by
Allison Pavlovec and
Emma Ziebell with an 8-5 score.
In singles,
Chase Polyak forced a third set on court one after winning her first set against Hannah Starr.
Against Stevens Point (2-0), the Red Hawks (0-2) were unable to muster momentum and dropped each singles match in straight sets.
NEXT UP: Ripon is back in action on Saturday (September 2) for its home opener against Marian. First serve from the Ripon High School Tennis Courts is scheduled for 11 a.m.
