DE PERE, Wisconsin – The Ripon women's tennis program fell 8-1 to Hamline on Friday night at the Green Bay Tennis Center in its first dual match since October.
Hamline (4-3) took an early 3-0 lead by sweeping the trio of doubles courts. However, Ripon (1-11) responded in singles as
Andreanna Wilke took care of business on court one, 8-5. All singles matches on Friday night were eight-game pro sets.
Though the Pipers took the remaining five courts, the Red Hawks were competitive across the top three lines as
Allison Pavlovec and
Jessica Griepentrog each dropped 8-4 decisions on courts two and three.
Hamline dropped just two games on the bottom three lines to close out the victory.
NEXT UP: Ripon has a day off before facing St. Norbert on Sunday (February 11) at 11:30 a.m. back at the Green Bay Tennis Center.
