OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Senior Jenny Cortes (Round Lake, Ill., Round Lake HS) has been named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week after her strong showing at the Gene Davis Invite last weekend.

Cortes ran a 22:18.9 at the Lawrence hosted event, finishing first among collegiate runners, with the performance ranking as the fifth fastest 6k in Ripon history. The award comes as the third Performer of the Week earned by a member of Red Hawks women's cross country this season. Cortes and the team will look to continue their success this season at the Augustana Interregional Invite held this Saturday, Oct 18, in Rock Isand, Ill.
