WINONA, Minnesota – The Ripon women's tennis program opened its 11-match spring slate on Saturday afternoon, falling to Saint Mary's (Minn.) 7-0 inside the Winona Tennis Center.
Saint Mary's (3-1) grabbed an early 1-0 lead after doubles, as the Cardinals dropped just six total games across all three courts. In singles, Ripon (1-13) conceded courts one, two and three in straight sets as the Cardinals clinched the match.
SMU finished the afternoon with straight-set victories on the fourth, fifth and sixth courts to claim the 7-0 win.
NEXT UP: Ripon heads to Owatonna, Minnesota on Saturday, February 15 for matches against Martin Luther (10 a.m.) and Crown (2 p.m.)
