Red Hawks Women's Cross Country Picked Third in Preseason Poll

OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Ripon College Women's Cross Country has been selected third heading into the 2025 season on the Midwest Conference (MWC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the MWC on Aug 25. 

The Red Hawks finished third in last year's conference championships, and returns three All-Conference runners from the 2024 team. Senior Jenny Cortes (Round Lake, Ill., Round Lake HS), junior Gabby Allard (Appleton, Wis., Kimberly HS), and sophomore Joley Berger (Dunbar, Wis., Pembine HS) will again take to the course for Ripon, after finishing 2nd, 11th, and 12th respectively at the conference championship event last year. 

Last year's runner up Grinnell has been picked as the favorite for this season's conference competition, while defending champion Lawrence was picked second. Full results of the coaches' poll are as follows:

Ripon Women's Cross Country opens their season with the shortened Mustang Gallop in Cedar Rapids, Ia. on Aug 29. This year's MWC Championship also take place in Iowa, held on Nov 1.
