OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Ripon College women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday afternoon at the Kolf Sports Center Tennis Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Titans (2-1) opened the day by sweeping doubles play, earning wins on all three courts, earning the point for doubles play. Ripon's No.1 pairing of sophomore Josie Rondestvedt (Altoona, Wis., Altoona HS) and senior Hadley Berendsen (Kimberly, Wis., Kimberly HS) battled before falling 6-2, while the Red Hawks (0-4) dropped 6-2 and 6-1 decisions at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.

In singles, competition, Oshkosh secured victories on all six courts to close out the match. Ripon's closest contest came at No. 5 singles, where sophomore Isabella Engstrom (Ripon, Wis., Ripon HS) pushed the opening set to a 7-5 finish before falling in straight sets.

Ripon will return to action this weekend, Sept 13, in Iowa, playing conference opponents, Cornell College at 9 am and Grinnell College at 3 pm.
