James Niescier ’14 is in his sixth season on the Ripon College Men’s Soccer staff. In his second stint as an assistant coach with the Red Hawks, he has helped the staff achieve a very successful overall record of 19-10-8.

Niescier holds Performance Analysis Level 1 and 2 Diplomas from the NSCAA and currently serves as the team performance analyst, making him one of only a handful of NCAA men’s soccer coaches in any division with that role. Currently, his primary responsibilities include individual player development, opposition analysis and set play coaching.

Niescier previously worked as an Assistant Soccer Coach for the Ripon College Men's team from 2016-2018. His desire to work in sports eventually led him to join the Miami Marlins as a Sr. Data Analyst in 2018. Niescier played for the Red Hawks from 2011-13, scoring three goals and assisting three more in 33 career games. He received the Red Hawks Defensive Player of the Year award in 2012.  He graduated from Ripon College in 2014 with degrees in Business and Computer Science before completing his MBA and Master's in Analytics.
