While at Mount Aloysius, Hopp helped expand the sports information role within the athletic department, leading and assisting in the implementation of video, print, graphic design, statistical, and archival efforts. Hopp also assisted in the hosting and communication responsibilities for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's expanded baseball postseason, held at the historic Point Stadium. As a tennis coach, Hopp made the AMCC Tournament each year with both teams, and led the women's program to their best record in five years. He served as the AMCC's RAC representative for women's tennis, and acted as an adjunct instructor of sports management.

Hopp previously served as the assistant tennis coach for Lakeland University, where he helped lead the women's team to their first winning season in a decade, qualifying for the NACC Tournament after a nine-year hiatus from the event. Also coaching at the high school level, he held the position of Head Tennis Coach for the boy’s and girl’s teams at Sheboygan North High School from August 2020 to January 2023. Hopp coached players to individual state tournament appearances in every season with the program, including a 5-seed boy’s doubles team in 2021. Hopp also worked closely with the Sheboygan Recreation Department while in the city, developing tennis programming such as 8-week junior programs, adult drill sessions, a week-long high school tennis camp, and individual lessons. He previously held assistant coaching roles at both Edgerton High School and Milton High School.

Hopp received his MBA from Lakeland University in December 2022, with an emphasis on Managing Sports Programs. He received his BBA in Sports Management from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in May 2021. A native of Sheboygan, Wis., Hopp currently resides in Ripon.
