Polcyn started his season off on a great note, leading the Red Hawks in hitting during their 10-game slate at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitatonal. The junior batted .395, with nine of his 15 hits going for extra bases (6 doubles, 1 triple and 2 home runs). He also recorded a team-high 11 RBI, while scoring seven runs.
