Horstmeier helped Ripon's women's team finish fifth at the 13-team Grinnell Pioneer Invite over the weekend, as she played a role in breaking four school records. Arguably her most impressive performance, came in the 200 breaststroke, where Horstmeier finished seventh with a time of 2:34.47. That broke Ripon's oldest school record by less than one second, which was set 23 years ago by Ripon Athletic Hall of Famer Sara Soffa '94. Horstmeier was also a part of school-record performances in the 200 Medley Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, and 800 Freestyle Relay, which stood for 20 years. Horstmeier also finished seventh in the 100 Breaststroke and 14th in the 500 Freestyle.
