Bons secured a top 10 finish during his first appearance in a Collegiate Men's A Cross Country race over the weekend, finishing 10th out of 21 competitors in the Short Track race at Alpine Valley, hosted by UW-Whitewater. He also placed 16th in the Men's A Cross Country race the following day.
