Cortes earned her second consecutive top four finish at the Midwest Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, earning runner-up honors with a time of 22:25.06. She now moves up to fourth all-time in the Ripon 6K record books, helping the Red Hawk women to a second consecutive third-place finish at the conference meet.
