APPLETON, Wis. - In what was their final tuneup before next weekend's Midwest Conference Championships, the Ripon College women's tennis team lost to Lawrence University, 9-0.

The Red Hawks (3-8, 0-4 MWC North) dropped all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-4. They also lost all six matches in singles play, despite one of those matches going to a tiebreaker. Olivia Wetzel came the closest to victory, losing her number four singles match 4-6, 6-1, 0-1 (2-10).

Ripon will end the 2012 season next weekend in Madison. The doubles and singles tournaments will take place at Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wis. on October 13 and 14, respectively, at 8 a.m.
